Spring Clean Up

The Town's Annual Spring Clean Up program is scheduled for May 6 to May 9, 2008.  Town road crews will pick up piles of lawn rakings, street sweepings, and general yard clean up debris.  The Town will not pick up brush piles, furniture, appliances, metal, tires, or household trash.  Materials to be picked up should be placed at the side of the road prior to Tuesday, May 6.  Each street will be visited by the town crew once during that week.  Extra material will remain the owners' responsibility.  We appreciate everyone's cooperation during the week.

LOCAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

The Local Comprehensive Plan Committee is holding meetings to discuss the revision of the Local Comprehensive Plan.  Meetings are planned for the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 7:00 PM.

Stop by the Town Office and fill out a quesitonaire for the Local Comprehensive Plan Revision.  We need to hear from everybody.

There will be a Public Hearing on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 7:00PM to discuss
proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance Article 2.3.C.3. Reconstruction
or Replacement of a nonconforming building.  The language from the State of Maine
Model Shoreland Zoning Ordinance must be adopted.  Also, a note will
be inserted into Article 4.1.E. to indicate that the Waterfowl and Wading Bird
Habitat Map will be adopted at a later date.
